Lacking Phone Storage? Worry No More

by

Lately, my phone has been notifying me about failing to back up my data in the cloud because my cloud storage is already full. The problem is with how little my data in the phone is given that I don’t really store many photos, I don’t feel the need to purchase additional storage space in the cloud because it might cause me too much.

The good thing is that aside from my phone’s default cloud storage, there are still other cloud storage services out there that I can use for backing up my phone’s photos and stuff, and one of them is the Google Drive app, which is convenient since I already have a Google account. And the best thing about this is that it’s free to download and use, and it has up to 15GB storage for the free account, which is more than enough to store my important files.

Google Drive is one of the handiest cloud storage services around, giving you 15GB of free space, which you can access from just about any device with an internet connection. – https://www.androidcentral.com/google-drive

The Google Drive app can be downloaded in the Play Store or the App Store for the iOS devices. If you are using an Android phone, it might have already been pre-installed on your phone, so you can start backing up right away. Once installed, all you would need to do is to sign in using your Google account, then you can start backing up your phone’s data. With this, I won’t have to worry about lacking storage space anymore.

When you backup your phone’s data in Google Drive, your photos are automatically saved to Google Photos, your contacts will be saved to Google Contacts, and your calendar data will be saved to Google Calendar.

Having a backup of your phone’s data is not the only useful feature of having the Google Drive app installed on your phone. For everyone who is using Google Drive for work, having the app installed will let you do work right on your phone or your other devices since you can also access and edit your files through the app. This feature makes it easier for people who still need to do work while on a trip or just traveling.

Another remarkable feature of the Google Drive app is that you can choose to make a file available offline, so in cases wherein you don’t have internet access, you can still open the file in the offline menu and changes will be synced once you have gone online.

The free Google Drive storage, as we have previously mentioned, is up to 15GB. If you feel the need to upgrade or increase your storage, the price starts at $1.99/month. For that price, you will get 100GB of cloud storage space. You can do the upgrade in the app as well.
