by

Before anything else, someone might ask me what a WordPress is? Why is it important? What are the advantages and at the same time the disadvantages of using WordPress? These are the questions that will be answered by reading my article.

WordPress is a free publishing software and content management system (CMS) that is popular in America.

To answer the first question, let’s do research. According to the website of Investopedia, “WordPress is a free publishing software and content management system (CMS) that is popular in America. The software is open-source allowing developers to create a wide array of plug-ins, themes, and widgets. WordPress is widely considered easy to use and is the CMS of choice for almost 75 million websites.” So it means it’s like an online tool that everyone can access if and only if they have an account. This is also to make our job easier since it is connected with internet that we all know who’s very powerful indeed. That’s why if we are to use a WordPress, we maximize our time and at the same time, our skills because its a tool that can be beneficial for us especially if you’re eager to learn everything.

Now that we already know what’s the WordPress is. The second question is, is it essential? We all know that there are lots of software that has been existing and discovered nowadays, but many developers invested their trust in using the WordPress. They find it more essential and believe that this can help them in adapting to the new technology and also for their business purposes. These also made their job easier for it creates an opportunity to update and edit their content without a hassle. WordPress is very flexible that’s why it gains trust from the well-known companies to support their business transactions.

WordPress, though it is beneficial for the developers. Still, it has this advantage and disadvantages of using that one. Let’s start with its advantages. Many use WordPress because of its simplicity and very user-friendly. It also has nonstandard fields that make it more look customized and unique. It also has this menu management that makes it very flexible because it functions very well. That is the reason why WordPress is very reliable especially for developers. How about the disadvantages? Since it is more of PHP scripts, the user of a WordPress should have a great knowledge of PHP. For the WordPress to be beneficial to you, you should first know how to use it. The second disadvantage is the PHP security because it is not protected as well as other applications that’s why it will still be dependent on the content of your page. And the third one is the SQL queries because it will require additional syntax.

WordPress may be useful, but this also has its limits. That’s why we should use it very well and be sure that we do all the research for us to provide the best output. We should have innovative minds especially in this modern technology so that we can be useful developers also.
